Princess is recovering after being pulled from the streets of Mexicali, Mexico, where she was found with hundreds of ticks on her ears. Loving PAWSabilities said the stray dog has already gotten her "YES," but she still needs a foster home in Southern California to keep healing.
The rescue group said in an Aug. 30 Facebook post that Princess is approximately 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs 29 pounds. It described her as an incredibly sweet, gentle and loving girl who gets along with other dogs and cats, a profile that has helped make the case for a temporary home while she finishes veterinary care.
That appeal is being watched now because the rescue has already done the hardest part: getting her out of danger. What remains is a place where she can continue to recover without being sent back to the streets. Loving PAWSabilities said it will cover her food, supplies, medications and veterinary care, asking only for the safe home and love that would let her stay stable long enough to fully heal.
