Noah Jupe has joined Avengers: Secret Wars in a secret, prominent role, adding another mystery name to Marvel’s most guarded event film. The part is being kept under wraps, and the cast list now has one more face attached to a character no one is supposed to know yet.
The timing matters because Jupe’s addition lands as interest in Avengers: Secret Wars is already running high. The film is the second half of a two-part MCU event directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and will follow Avengers: Doomsday, where the X-Men, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, Captain America’s Avengers and Wakanda face Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. That setup has turned every new casting note into a clue, and this one is no different.
TheWrap reported that Jupe’s role is still unclear, which is the point. The secrecy leaves room for a long list of possibilities that fit the movie’s comic-book roots, including Molecule Man or a Beyonder, both characters tied to the 2010s Secret Wars story by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić. In that version, Doctor Doom creates Battleworld after the death of the multiverse, and Battleworld is a patchwork planet made from incursion sites across different worlds.
There is another path Marvel could be testing. Jupe could be playing an older version of Steve Rogers' baby seen in a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, or he could be one of several younger performers being eyed for the X-Men. The article also points to Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Maya Boyd, Inde Navarrette, Christopher Abbott, Adam Driver and Samara Weaving in connection with Marvel’s band of merry mutants, which keeps the casting picture broad and deliberately blurry.
That blur is part of the story. Marvel is building toward a film that seems designed to juggle time shifts, alternate realities and a crowded roster, while still refusing to give away who Jupe is actually playing. For now, the news is not that the role has been decoded. It is that one of the project’s more closely held parts now belongs to Noah Jupe, and the mystery around him has become part of the marketing before the movie has even arrived.
