Gabriel Jesus has been offered to Atlético Madrid, and the Spanish club has already made initial contact to learn what a deal for the Arsenal forward would cost. Arsenal are understood to be open to letting the 29-year-old leave in the final days of the transfer window for about €18 million to €20 million.
The timing matters because Jesus is not being discussed as a long-term gamble but as a late-window move for a player with Premier League and European experience who can play through the middle, drift wide, help in build-up and lead the press. For Atlético Madrid, that makes him a usable option if they decide to move quickly. For Arsenal, it would mark a relatively modest exit fee for a forward whose season was disrupted by a serious ACL injury and whose playing time was limited as a result.
The interest is also being measured against Atlético Madrid’s current planning. Jesus’s potential arrival would be completely separate from what happens with Julián Álvarez, who remains part of the club’s project. That leaves the question in a narrower form: whether Atlético Madrid want another forward enough to turn that initial contact into a formal offer, or whether they stop at gathering the conditions and let the matter sit.
For now, the transfer is still in the stage where conversations matter more than signatures. Arsenal have signaled they would negotiate, Atlético Madrid have signaled they are checking the terms, and Jesus is left at the center of a move that would say as much about squad planning as it does about his recovery after a difficult season. If Atlético Madrid do step forward, the fee range suggests this could move fast; if they do not, the contact will stand as a late-window probe that never became a bid.
