Hallmark Channel is opening its new season of movies with Love Finds You, a romance led by Aimee Teegarden and Chris McNally that premieres Saturday, August 22 at 8 p.m. Eastern and 7 p.m. Central. The film is the first title in Hallmark’s Fall Into Love slate and will move to Hallmark+ on August 23.
For Teegarden, the role of Alex gave her the kind of range that can make a small-screen romance feel lived in rather than polished. She said the experience was a lot of fun and that the part let her be silly while still finding moments of connection, honesty and stillness. That balance matters here because Alex is introduced as a jewelry designer who thinks she has found her ideal man after a mislabeled package changes the course of her day.
McNally plays Jack, a delivery driver who gets pulled into the search after the package mix-up sends the two characters across the city. Hallmark says the detour helps Alex and Jack discover what they truly want, which gives the film its push and pull: a premise built on romantic confusion, but a story aimed at something more grounded than a tidy meet-cute. The film was shot primarily in British Columbia, Canada, with production based in the Burnaby area east of Vancouver and filming running from mid-May to early June.
That setting gives the movie a contemporary look without losing the cozy feel Hallmark viewers expect. Burnaby’s urban streets and neighborhood pockets helped frame the story’s movement, while the schedule shows the film was completed months before its launch as the channel’s latest season gets underway. Teegarden said McNally is “so, so fun,” and noted that they had already worked together on Hallmark’s Christmas Class Reunion, adding that they had good chemistry and meshed well on set.
The larger question is not whether Hallmark knows how to package a fall romance; it is whether Love Finds You can keep the energy of its setup once the package mishap gives way to the emotional payoff. The film will have its first chance to answer that on August 22, then reach Hallmark+ the next day, with encores set to follow throughout the season.
