Callum Turner says starting a family is now a priority after marrying Dua Lipa in May, giving the couple’s next chapter a clearer shape just months after their wedding. In an Aug. 18 interview, the 36-year-old said he would like to have a family and raise some kids.
The timing matters because the wedding was only recent, and Turner’s comments put family plans at the center of the conversation before the public has heard the same directly from Lipa. That makes his remarks the first real sign of where he sees the marriage going, even if the couple has not pinned down when that step might happen.
Turner framed fatherhood as part of who he is, saying he is more determined than hard on himself and that he likes structure, routine and rhythm. Those traits, he suggested, could help when life gets larger and less predictable. He also said that starting a family is a priority for him, which makes the point harder to miss: this is not a casual wish, but something he sees as part of his near future.
The interview also gave a rare glimpse back at the wedding itself. Turner said it was amazing and the most beautiful day of his life, and he described the days after as “the most magical holiday” as the couple traveled after the ceremony. He said they honeymooned in South Africa and also spent time in Rome and the Amalfi Coast, while Lipa shared honeymoon photos to Instagram Stories in June.
That travel streak fits the way Turner talked about the relationship itself. He said he and Lipa both have the same urge to run, roam, see the world, explore and discover, and joked that they are part of the same circus. The guest list for the wedding included Donatella Versace, Charli XCX and Elton John, and the couple’s public life had already been building toward this moment since their appearance together at the 2025 Met Gala.
What Turner has not said is whether Lipa shares the same timeline for children. For now, the public message is one-sided but clear: after a May wedding, Turner is thinking about family next, and he is saying so soon enough that the question is no longer whether it is on the table, but when it becomes real.
