Epic Games has set Fortnite Sprite Spree Week in motion, a five-day run of rotating Sprite variant hours that starts with Mythic Sprite Hours on August 15 and closes with Gem Hours on August 20 at 6 AM PT. For players chasing Sprite Collections, the window is short, the rewards are tied to the clock, and the schedule changes every day.
That is why the Fortnite live event is already drawing attention. The week opens with Mythic Sprite Hours split into two separate two-hour sessions on August 15, each with increased spawn rates for Zero Point and Grim Sprites. After that, Galaxy Hours begins on August 16, Holo Hours follows on August 17, Cube Hours runs on August 18, and Gem Hours takes over on August 19 before the event ends the next morning. Each of the middle hours lasts 24 hours, and every turn hands off to the next at 6 AM PT.
The timing matters because Epic Games says the event is meant to help players finish their Sprite Collections before Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 ends on August 19. During Sprite Spree Week, Sprites no longer cost Sprite Dust to resummon, Campfires grant boosted XP, and Sprites level up twice as fast, with Lucky Locators also available. Collected Sprites will carry over to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, so this is less a hard cutoff for the collection than a rare catch-up stretch before the season changes.
There is still one wrinkle in the schedule. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 ends on August 19, but Gem Hours continues until August 20 at 6 AM PT, and Fortnite Override launches the same day. That means the last Sprite window outlasts the season it was built to support, leaving players a final overnight chance to finish off what they started before the next phase begins.
