Disney+ has released the first trailer for Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and the streamer has also set the season to premiere Nov. 20. The preview puts Walker Scobell’s Percy Jackson back at the center of the story, with a dream about The Great Prophecy and a warning in voiceover: “Something bad is coming.”
That matters because the date is now fixed, giving fans a clear countdown to the next chapter instead of another vague tease. Scobell is once again the face of the series, joined by Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood and Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, with the trailer making clear this season is moving straight into bigger danger and sharper stakes.
The new season continues to build on Rick Riordan’s book series, which first arrived in 2005, and the latest preview suggests the show is pushing deeper into the material it has already teased. Percy’s path now runs through a rescue mission after Annabeth is captured by the forces of Kronos, while he is also trying to free a goddess in chains, confront the Titan’s curse and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus. The setup leaves him moving with unlikely questmates and Grover by his side, which gives the season a wider cast without losing Percy’s point of view.
That story also comes with a test for the adaptation itself. During the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July, Scobell said he believed this would be the most book-accurate adaptation they have done thus far, a claim that raises the bar for every scene the trailer hints at. The first few minutes shown there opened with Thalia Grace battling a monster, while the cast list also points to returning faces and new gods including Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Dafne Keen as Artemis, Hubert Smielecki as Apollo, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite and Ming-Na Wen as Hera.
For now, the trailer does what a first look should do: it confirms the season is on the way, pins it to Nov. 20 and makes the story feel like it is heading toward a collision Percy cannot dodge for long. The question is no longer whether Season 3 is coming. It is how closely the show can keep faith with the book as the pressure around Percy, Annabeth and Olympus keeps rising.
