KATSEYE is heading to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Aug. 12 for its first-ever late-night musical performance, adding a new milestone to a run that has already pushed the group into bigger television and music stages. The appearance will also include an interview with Jimmy Fallon, putting Megan, Yoonchae, Lara, Daniela and Sophia in the spotlight on NBC.
The booking lands as a search-worthy moment because it comes just ahead of a packed stretch for the group. The Aug. 12 episode will air at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT and be available on Peacock the next day, while KATSEYE’s new EP Wild is set to drop two days after the visit. The group’s lead single Pinky Up reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Animal followed in July at No. 24, giving the appearance a chart-backed audience ready for another live push.
The late-night slot also arrives with a familiar complication still in view. KATSEYE has been operating without sixth member Manon since HYBE announced later that month after the group’s February Fallon appearance that she would be taking a hiatus to focus on her well-being. In June, Sophia said it was not their place to rush her and that the group wanted to give her all the time and space she needed, a reminder that the team’s biggest television step yet is also happening with one member still absent.
That is what makes this booking more than another TV stop. It is KATSEYE’s first late-night musical performance, its first chance to sell Wild on a national stage, and a bridge to early September, when the group is scheduled to kick off its Wildworld Tour. The only question left is not whether the group has a major moment on Aug. 12, but which song it chooses to make the moment count.
