Season 4 will put D.Mon on the Tank roster at launch, giving Overwatch a new frontline option built around Plasma Saber, Power Barrier, Propulsors, Fusion Repeater and Limit Break. For players who have waited years to see Beast step into the game, this is the cleanest change in the new update: a long-awaited pilot becomes playable as the season begins.
That is why the search for Overwatch patch notes is heating up now. For years, Yuna Lee has defended Busan from inside her MEKA, Beast, and the new season pushes that story forward with the MEKA base called to action as the Junkers and Talon descend upon Busan in Season 4. Premium Battle Pass owners can use a Tier Hack once per Battle Pass to swap an eligible Legendary reward for another curated cosmetic from the seasonal Swap Pool, which launches with Raijin Ashe, Mob Boss Junker Queen, Cardboard Reinhardt, Sakura Lifeweaver and Crustacean Wrecking Ball. The season’s event side is built around progression too: Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania runs from August 11 to August 31 for three weeks, and players can choose a pilot pass, complete challenges, earn rewards and cast one vote for each completed pass while unlocking more of the story.
That event design matters because it ties the new hero and the returning MEKA story together instead of treating them as separate updates. Players can finish one pass and jump straight into another, and completing all five passes opens a Prestige track with special rewards. By the time the event ends on August 31, Season 4 will have done what the strongest Overwatch patch notes do best: add a new hero, reshape progression and give the MEKA Squad a new reason to matter again.
