Celina Powell was arrested in Miami on Thursday, August 6, after police surrounded her pink Lamborghini near a Midtown Miami Target and charged her with driving on a suspended license. Officers stayed on scene as footage showed Powell stepping out of the driver's door and walking toward the front of the vehicle around 5:40 P.M.
Powell said she had accumulated at least 10 citations for the same violation and planned to visit the DMV on Friday, August 7, to sort out the problem. That makes the arrest more than a one-off traffic stop: it lands in the middle of a long record of license trouble that has followed her through Miami before.
Days and even years later, the paperwork still matters. Court documents show Powell missed a scheduled hearing on December 10, 2025, which triggered a bench warrant with a $1,000 bond, and that no-show caused her cases to be marked delinquent and reported to the DMV, leading to license suspensions. She also had multiple active Florida bench warrants tied to traffic violations, including driving without a valid license and a window-tint violation.
That history is what gives Thursday's arrest its weight. Powell was arrested in Miami in March 2021 for habitually driving on a suspended license after a turn-signal stop, after her Colorado license had already been revoked for habitual traffic offenses. She also faced a suspended-license arrest on New Year's Eve 2020 in Miami with bond set at $1,500, and she picked up a speeding citation in Surfside while driving without a license.
The unresolved part is whether the DMV visit she said she planned for Friday changed anything. A defense attorney later entered a not-guilty plea on her behalf, but the arrest itself showed how quickly one more stop can collide with a stack of old citations, open warrants and a suspended license that was already on the record.
