Michael Wolfsmith said on a July 30 Bravo episode that he has not seen Briana Culberson in eight years, a gap that now puts a long-running family split back in view. He also said he has not met two of her kids.

That is why Andy Cohen is in the search picture now: the split was not presented as old history, but as a fresh point of conflict tied to a recent episode and a family conversation that has clearly not gone away. Wolfsmith said he had never been invited to visit where Briana lives, and that he once wanted to go when he was fairly close to Oklahoma a couple years ago, even saying he was ready to book a flight.

Wolfsmith's account also narrowed the distance into something more specific than geography. He said Briana does not visit California, that he spent three months that year staying at his mom's house and her desert house, and that they could meet there when he is in CA. He has said he relocated to Spain in 2025 and works remotely from there as the Vice President of Life Insurance for Coto Insurance, while Briana moved to the Midwest after her 2011 marriage to Ryan Culberson.

The obstacle, though, is not just miles. Wolfsmith said Briana told him it was not a good time because of her husband, whom he said he does not get along with very well. That is the part that keeps the reunion from becoming a simple plane ticket and a dinner plan. Vicki Gunvalson has said her kids talk all the time and FaceTime, but she also said it is better to be in person, and her own regret over Donn Gunvalson's 2010 divorce still hangs over the family.

Gunvalson said the divorce broke the family apart and left her feeling guilty, remorseful and sad, even as she described her children's lives as far apart but still connected. Wolfsmith's comments make clear that connection has limits. The next question is no longer whether the family is in touch; it is whether anyone in it is ready to make a visit that actually happens.
