Pocketpair has announced Palworld Online, a new MMO in the Palworld franchise that is planned for iOS and Android in 2026. Garena is developing the game under an official Pocketpair license, making the mobile project the latest and clearest sign that Palworld is moving far beyond its original hit release.

The announcement lands now because Palworld is still riding the momentum of its 1.0 launch, which put up enormous numbers on Steam, while the series has already widened into other formats. Palworld already has a mobile game made by Krafton, and the Palworld card game was also released, so Palworld Online is not an isolated experiment but part of a fast-moving push to turn the IP into something bigger than one game.

Bucky, the Palworld community manager, showed a chart laying out how the partnerships work, and it points to a simple division of labor: Pocketpair keeps the IP moving while Garena handles the mobile MMO build. Garena brings a long record in mobile development from Singapore, with almost 15 years of work and dozens and dozens of mobile games behind it, plus experience on IP such as Path of Exile, League of Legends, Need for Speed and EA Sports FC.

Palworld Online is being pitched as a seamless open world with MMO-style co-op play and PvE, along with Pal capturing, base building, a new story, quests and expanded lore. That gives it the structure of a full Palworld spin-off rather than a stripped-down side project. But the platform choice is doing as much talking as the feature list, because mobile can widen the audience while also turning off fans who wanted the next big Palworld move to stay closer to the main game. The contrast is sharp enough: the main Palworld game does not use microtransactions, while mobile games often do, and that makes the new release feel like a different kind of bet.

For Pocketpair, the move also fits a broader pressure point. The company has repeatedly said it is desperate to hire up to keep pace with demand for the smash hit game, and Palworld Online suggests that growth is now being spread across more partners, more platforms and more formats. What remains unanswered is the cadence inside 2026 and how much of the mobile MMO will lean on the economics that usually define the platform.
