WWE is about to open a new door on its streaming plans. Club WWE launches this Friday with curated classic episodes of Raw and SmackDown, plus original programming made only for subscribers.
The timing matters because many historic episodes of WWE's flagship shows still have not turned up in Netflix's WWE library, even after the original WWE Network was retired. For fans who have been waiting to revisit older Raw and SmackDown shows, the new platform is meant to fill that gap at last.
Rob Fee said the idea started more simply, with the platform initially described as offering exclusive content. But the creative team wanted more than the usual mix of backstages and interviews, so they asked talent what they had always wanted to make and what unexpected idea they wanted to try. The result includes a cooking show from Danhausen with Ethan Page as the guest on every episode, a bedtime-story show for KO and an advice show from Kit Wilson.
Fee also said there is more on the way, and that the team reached back into the archive with help from WWE Vault to curate old Raw and SmackDown episodes that are not available anywhere else. He said the docs team is also delivering exclusive pieces at a network level, while the production crew packed the shows with easter eggs and built every title sequence as an homage to a horror movie the team loves.
That mix is what makes Club WWE more than a simple archive dump. It is being positioned as both a home for subscriber-only original shows and a place where missing classic television can finally be restored, even if WWE has not said which specific episodes will appear first.
For now, the draw is plain enough. Club WWE gives WWE another reason to pull fans in this Friday, and it does so with the one thing many have wanted since the streaming library shifted: older Raw and SmackDown episodes that were never easy to find again.
