Liv Morgan is heading into the weekend wondering whether Danhausen’s curse is still hanging over her, but she says she feels strong enough to push past it. The Women’s World Champion said she does not know how long those curses last, or how much power they really have, after losing the Queen of The Ring final to IYO SKY.
The timing matters because the curse was placed moments before that final at WWE Night Of Champions, and Morgan now has to sort out what was coincidence and what was consequence. In a new interview with ’s SportsCenter, she said she is leaning on faith, positive self-talk and a positive mindset, adding that she does not feel cursed even while acknowledging that SKY beat her only because she was cursed.
That contradiction is the heart of the story. Morgan is not backing away from the loss, but she is refusing to let it define her preparation for the weekend. She said SKY has never defeated her in one-on-one singles competition outside that cursed match, a detail that gives her confidence as she prepares to defend her championship and, in her words, do anything to keep it.
Danhausen’s role is not fading either. He has kept his feud with The Judgment Day alive, and at the weekend’s premium live event he is scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio. That keeps the storyline active at the same moment Morgan is trying to decide whether the curse still matters, or whether the answer is simpler: she lost once, she wants it back, and she is moving forward anyway.
For now, Morgan’s answer is not that the curse has disappeared. It is that she is choosing to act as if it has. That may be the closest thing to a defense she has before the weekend, and the one thing she can control if Danhausen’s spell is still working in any way at all.
