Police in Twin Falls locked down the Perrine Bridge and shut down roads leading into In-N-Out on Saturday afternoon while officers searched for a shooting suspect near Blue Lakes Blvd. As of 3:30 p.m., the response was still active.
Rock Creek Fire Chief Aaron Zent said crews were searching the hotel overlooking the visitor center, while the parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods was being cleared out and businesses there were on lockdown. Officers from Twin Falls, Buhl, Jerome Police Department and Idaho State Police were on scene, along with the Twin Falls Fire Department and Magic Valley Paramedics.
The scene stretched across a busy part of Twin Falls, with the hotel, the visitor center area and the roadways into In-N-Out all tied to the same search. That made the response larger than a single stop, and it put a bridge, nearby businesses and traffic all under the same restriction at once.
What officers did not say on scene was what shooting prompted the search or whether the suspect was believed to be inside the hotel. That gap left the public with an active lockdown but no explanation for the threat that set it off.
For now, the next development that matters is whether police can identify the suspect and lift the shutdowns without widening the search. Until then, the Perrine Bridge remains closed off, the roads into In-N-Out stay blocked, and the Twin Falls Shooting search remains the story still unfolding.
