Blizzard News has set November 17 for D&D: World of Warcraft, with early access opening November 3 for the tabletop crossover that brings World of Warcraft from desktop to tabletop. The book is built for players and Dungeon Masters alike, and it arrives with new species, subclasses, spells, monsters, and preorder rewards.
That launch window is what makes the announcement land now. Anyone looking up Dungeons & Dragons and Warcraft today wants the date first: early access starts on November 3, then the full release follows two weeks later on November 17. In practice, that gives buyers a short head start before the wider launch, which matters for a product meant to seed new campaigns rather than sit on a shelf.
The scale is the other reason the release matters. D&D: World of Warcraft supports all thirteen World of Warcraft classes and adds six new subclasses, three updated subclasses, eleven new species, more than 60 new spells, more than 50 new monsters, and 30 dungeon boss stat blocks. The new species include Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, Haranir, Mechagnome, Pandaren, Tauren, Troll, Vulpera, and Worgen. The six new subclasses are the Oath of the Ebon Blade, Oath of the Holy Paladin, Demon Hunter Ranger, Shadow Domain, Discipline Domain, and Path of the Elements, while Swashbuckler Rogue, Path of the Spiritual Guardian Barbarian, and Warrior of Mystic Brews Monk get updated versions.
The limited-run pitch is where the release gets sharper, and a little murkier. The Collector's Edition Ultimate Bundle includes the limited-edition Collector's Edition in a foil-and-sculpted slipcase, the Icecrown Citadel Map Pack and Digital Adventure, the D&D: World of Warcraft Dungeon Master’s Screen, and a guaranteed Murloc Promo Mini. It also comes with World of Warcraft in-game rewards such as the Black Dragon Mount, Gazer pet, Mimic Chest toy, and Mimic Chest decor. What Blizzard News did not spell out is how limited that limited run actually is, which leaves collectors with a choice they can understand but not fully measure.
