In November, Deadline reported that an hourlong reimagining of Bewitched was in development, a fresh take that would follow Samantha and Darrin as they fall in love at first sight. In a recent interview with New Idea, she said that if she were asked to appear on the show, she would “absolutely” do it. Murphy added that she would love to be included in some way and believed fans of the original Bewitched would enjoy the nod to the past. It is an open invitation, but not a confirmed return.
That is the key distinction here: Murphy is game, but there is no sign she has been asked to join the new project.
