Now Stock gains focus as ServiceNow raises Now Assist AI target

ServiceNow has raised its Now Assist AI contract target as investors keep moving money out of AI infrastructure stocks and into application software. The change puts the company back in view as a place where AI revenue is tied directly to enterprise workflows, not just to the buildout around them.

That matters now because ServiceNow sits at the center of IT, employee, and customer processes, and buyers are looking for software that can coordinate and govern AI inside those systems. The company is positioning AI as a premium add-on across its workflow products, with Now Assist AI becoming more central as that demand builds.

For investors, the appeal is straightforward. The stock trades at US$111.26 against a consensus target of US$140.95, and Simply Wall St puts it 55.9% below fair value. ServiceNow also has a 30 day return of 8.9%, a current net income margin of 12.6%, and a P/E ratio of 65.3 versus a sector average of 28.8. That mix helps explain why buyers are looking past the headline multiple and toward AI monetization inside the platform.

Still, the setup is not all clean upside. ServiceNow is drawing interest even as it remains below the analyst target and despite significant insider selling, which makes the current enthusiasm look more selective than broad. The premium-add-on strategy also leaves one key gap open: the company has raised its Now Assist AI contract target, but it has not spelled out how much that target increased or what total contract value it expects to capture from the wider rollout across workflow products.

That is why the next read on ServiceNow will come from whether the company can keep turning AI into paid usage inside its existing base. If it does, the stock may keep benefiting from the rotation into application-layer software; if it does not, the market will be left with a more expensive software name and a larger promise than proof.
