Apple TV is lining up Lucky for Wednesday 15 July, putting Anya Taylor-Joy at the center of a heist thriller that starts with a win and ends with a missing fortune. Taylor-Joy plays Lucky, a woman who thinks she has pulled off the kind of job that could wipe out her old life.
That is why the series is getting attention now. People looking for what to watch this week are getting a run of new streaming releases, but Lucky has the sharpest hook: one last score, one clean escape, and a clock that starts the moment the money disappears. Drew Starkey plays Cary, the lover tied to the heist, and Lucky wakes the next day with a belting hangover, an empty bed, and no cash. Lucky centers on a woman trying to break away from her criminal past after a heist goes wrong, and that is where the show gets its bite.
