Big Brother Season 28 is also part of the weekend conversation, adding a familiar reality-TV draw to the list.
There is a wrinkle in the field, and it is what makes this weekend feel busier than the season usually does. The Long Walk was first released in theaters last year before landing on HBO Max, while The Furious is coming in as one of the new digital releases, with Kenji Tanigaki directing and Kensuke Sonomura as action director. William Bibbiani called it good luck finding a better action movie this year, a line that captures how crowded the field is even before Netflix’s new Little House on the Prairie begins its run.
