Artists and entertainment figures joined a chain of prayer on Monday for Alex Bueno, turning a health update into a public show of support as the singer continues his recovery. The messages spread across social media after his managers asked for prayers over the weekend.
Wilfrido Vargas said, “Mis oraciones desde lo más profundo de mi alma querido Alex,” while Héctor Acosta wrote, “Mis oraciones siempre contigo querido hermano. Dios hará la obra.” Jossie Esteba, Manny Cruz, Alejandro Montero, Alexa, Kqui Acosta, Carlos Manuel El Zafiro, Tony Bravo, La India Caneña, Dionis K-Da Uno, Ravel, Angelito and Aramis Vilalona were among the names linked to the prayer chain, along with composers, journalists and other entertainment personalities who echoed the same message: get well soon, Alex Bueno.
The wave of support matters because Bueno has been dealing with health problems since September of the previous year, when a brain cancer was identified. The cancer was removed in October 2025, and his managers said on Saturday afternoon through his Instagram account @alexbuenomundial that he was “still battling with faith and all his strength” in his health process. That message helped explain why the prayers on Monday landed so quickly.
There is also a harder truth under the outpouring. The support is real, but so is the fact that Bueno’s recovery is still being measured against a serious illness that began the year before and required surgery. He has lived in New York with his family since 2013, and the public response suggests the concern around his condition has not faded even after the removal of the cancer.
For now, the next step is not a new performance or public appearance but a medical one. No fresh treatment plan was disclosed in the messages that circulated on Monday, and that leaves the central question in place: whether Bueno’s recovery will continue quietly at home or be followed by a more detailed update from his team.
