Hot Toys has unveiled 1/6th scale He-Man and Skeletor figures tied to the new live-action Masters of the Universe movie, landing the reveal with just a week left before the film reaches audiences. The timing gives collectors and fans their first close look at movie-inspired versions of the franchise’s two best-known characters while the reboot is still unreleased.
The He-Man collectible figure is built around a newly crafted head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, a movie-accurate expression and lifelike skin textures, plus a meticulously sculpted blonde mid-length wavy bob. It uses a newly developed muscular body made from platinum silicone, with an inner metal skeleton integrated through a one-piece molding technique, and comes with chest armor, vambraces, soft vinyl long boots, a leather-like microfiber gladiator skirt, the Power Sword, a translucent blue lightning effect and a Castle Grayskull-themed two-way display diorama base. Hot Toys has linked the design to Nicholas Galitzine, whose version of He-Man will be seen in the film, while the Skeletor figure draws from Jared Leto.
The Skeletor collectible figure is built on the same 1/6th scale format and comes with a newly crafted head that captures his terrifying visage, along with an LED light-up function that gives his eyes a piercing red glow. It also uses a platinum silicone muscular body with an inner metal skeleton, plus meticulously painted blue skin, intricate muscle shadow textures, detailed shoulder armor, a wire-embedded dark purple cape, vambraces, armored soft vinyl boots and a leather-like microfiber gladiator skirt. The figure is presented as the movie version of Skeletor even though the film itself has not yet opened, a reminder that the franchise’s merchandising machine is moving before the reboot has reached theaters. That leaves the key question for collectors hanging: Hot Toys has shown the figures, but has not said when they will go on sale.
The unveiling follows a steady buildup around the live-action reboot, with more attention now shifting to how the new cast and costumes translate into collectibles. For fans who have followed the return to Castle Grayskull through recent promotional material, the figures offer an early look at how the characters are being packaged for the market before the movie is even out, much like the renewed interest seen in other Masters of the Universe rollouts.
