is recalling its Morrisons Savers Cashews from supermarkets across England, Scotland and Wales after the product was flagged as possibly containing pieces of glass. The 125g packs were identified on May 26, 2026, and customers are being told not to eat them.

The recalled packs carry best before dates of August 9, September 6, September 26, September 28 and October 9. Morrisons said point of sale notices will be displayed in stores selling the product, while shoppers who have already bought it should return it to the nearest store for a full refund.

The said Morrisons is recalling the product and that the notices in shops will explain to customers why it is being pulled and what to do if they have purchased it. The watchdog also said the recall covers the Morrisons Savers Cashews because of the possible presence of glass, a contamination risk that can cause serious injury if eaten.

The notice applies to a single Morrisons Savers item, and Morrisons said no other products are affected. In its statement, the supermarket apologised for the inconvenience and said it remains committed to the highest standard of product quality and safety.

The Food Standards Agency uses Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to alert consumers and local authorities when food products need to be removed or returned. In this case, the distinction matters because the cashews are being recalled, which means shoppers are being asked to bring them back rather than simply leave them behind on shelves.

For customers who bought the nuts, the instruction is straightforward: do not consume them. Return the 125g pack to the nearest store for a full refund, and check the best before date against the list of affected batches. The recall narrows the concern to those specific packs, but it also leaves one clear answer for shoppers today — the product should not be eaten under any circumstances.
