Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams left Game 2 of the Western Conference finals with a left hamstring injury, and San Antonio’s Dylan Harper exited with a right leg injury on a night when the Thunder and Spurs were fighting for control of the series at Paycom Center.
Both players were ruled out and would not return, turning a high-stakes game into an even more fragile test for two teams chasing a place in the NBA Finals. Tipoff was at 8:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing on NBC or Peacock and Mike Tirico, Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford on the call.
The injuries came at Paycom Center, which opened in June 2002 and has been the Thunder’s home since 2008. The arena was hosting Game 2 of the Western Conference finals in front of the kind of loud, raucous crowd Oklahoma City has built around its home floor, where the Thunder were trying to defend a double-digit lead after the Spurs had surged to open the fourth quarter.
The timing mattered because San Antonio entered the night trying to seize a commanding 2-0 series lead, while Oklahoma City needed to protect home court before the series shifts. The loss of Williams is especially significant for the Thunder, given his role in the matchup, and Harper’s exit thinned the Spurs at a moment when every possession carried postseason weight.
Paycom Center has seen plenty of playoff noise since the Thunder arrived in 2008, but Game 2 turned on something less predictable than crowd volume or momentum. If either team is forced to navigate the rest of the series without a key perimeter player, the Western Conference finals could change shape quickly.
