says she would not apply to appear on , saying a reality TV background check and contract terms would make the risk too high. She made the comments on on Wednesday morning, after asked how seriously producers look into a contestant’s background before letting them on a show.

Dye said the experience she had on another reality show left her wary of what can happen before filming even begins. She said producers carried out a massive background check on her and then called to say she needed to delete a post from 2016. “Well, they did a massive background check on me, and I got a call from one of the producers saying I needed to delete a post,” she said. Dye said the request caught her off guard. “And I panicked, because I thought, oh God, I’ve done so many 10 red wines 3 a.m. on Facebook back in the day,” she said.

That concern, she said, went beyond one old post. Dye said she had to sign a contract that gave producers the power to portray her however they wanted. “You literally sign a contract,” she said. “I had to sign a contract. We can depict you however we see fit. Those words are in the contract.” She said the experience “panicked” her and added, “I’m a pretty good human.”

Her comments landed against a darker backdrop for the franchise. This week, it was revealed that three MAFS wives alleged rape and sexual abuse during filming of a UK season, and has alleged she was raped while filming . Dye said that kind of scrutiny was part of why she would not go near the series herself. “If they go that far back on someone like me, who’s just some schmuck or whatever, why aren’t they going back and finding out that these guys possibly have a history?” she said.

She also said the hunger for fame can push people into situations they do not fully understand. “I don’t know if I’d do a Married at First Sight,” she said. “They sign their lives away.” Dye said, “They can edit you,” and later added, “I’m a bit of a knob. But the problem is these people want to be famous so badly.” The answer to whether she would apply is now clear: she would not.
