Off Campus Season 1 landed on Prime Video on May 13, 2026, instantly broke BookTok, and topped the streaming charts — surpassing even superhero heavyweight The Boys. Now, with all eight episodes already devoured by fans worldwide, the internet has one burning question: what is next for Briar University? The answer is everything is already in motion.
Off Campus Season 2 Is Officially Confirmed — Before Season 1 Even Aired
On February 12, 2026, months before Season 1 even debuted, Prime Video officially renewed Off Campus for Season 2. The second season is anticipated to drop in April 2027.
Prime Video were so confident in their adaptation of Elle Kennedy's Off Campus novels that they renewed the show in February, three months ahead of the Season 1 premiere. When the renewal was announced, Amazon's Head of Global Television Peter Friedlander said: "With its passionate fan base, rich source material, we knew this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season."
Scripts for Off Campus Season 2 are done, and filming is set to take place this summer. Prime Video is clearly building the franchise for the long haul.
Off Campus Season 2 Release Date: When Will It Drop?
In March 2026, Teen Vogue reported that Belmont Cameli and his castmates would be undergoing a two-week hockey bootcamp before Season 2 production starts in June 2026, running through mid-September — the same schedule Season 1 followed.
Filming will take place in Vancouver from June to September 2026. Based on that production window, a spring 2027 premiere on Prime Video is the most logical expectation. Off Campus Season 2 is widely projected to land in April 2027, mirroring the exact timeline of Season 1.
Off Campus Season 2 Cast: Who Is Returning and Who Is New
Prime Video's renewal statement confirmed Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Antonio Cipriano, and Jalen Thomas Brooks as series regulars returning for Season 2.
The biggest new addition to the Off Campus Season 2 cast is India Fowler as Grace Ivers. On April 30, 2026, India Fowler was cast as a series regular for Season 2, joining as Grace — Logan's primary love interest in Elle Kennedy's second Off-Campus novel. Philippa Soo also joined the Season 2 roster in a recurring capacity, adding significant veteran depth to the expanding Briar University ensemble.
Philippa Soo plays Scarlett, a theatre artist who is guest-directing an original play at Briar U. Broadway fans will immediately recognize Soo as the original Eliza Hamilton in Hamilton on Broadway.
As for Josh Heuston, who played rockstar Justin Kohl in Season 1, showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed he will not return for Season 2. "Not next season, but I love Josh, and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point. We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we'll find a way to fold him into a future season."
Off Campus Season 2 Plot: What Story Will It Tell?
The sophomore season is set to be an adaptation of The Mistake, the second installment in Elle Kennedy's series, which will see hockey player John Logan, played by Antonio Cipriano, trying to get back together with Grace Ivers, played by India Fowler, whom he lost after making a careless error.
The second book's synopsis describes college junior John Logan as a hockey star who can get any girl he wants. For him, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grin and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he'll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he is worth a second chance.
The biggest question dividing the Off Campus fandom right now is whether Season 2 will fully commit to Logan and Grace as the lead couple, as the books do, or whether the Dean and Allie chemistry from Season 1 earns them a more prominent storyline than the source material originally gave them.
What Is Off Campus? A Quick Season 1 Recap
Off Campus is set at Briar University and follows a group of students as they fall in lust, love, and everything in between. The first season focuses on music student Hannah and hockey star Garrett. She is smart, sarcastic, and trying to move forward after a traumatic experience. He is Briar's charming star athlete who desperately needs help passing a class. They strike a deal: Hannah tutors Garrett and, in return, he helps make another guy jealous by pretending to date her. Naturally, fake dating eventually becomes the real thing.
By the end of the first season, Hannah and Garrett seem to be in a good place, but there is trouble brewing ahead for some of the people in their entourage. Season 1 ends on a major cliffhanger, setting up the emotional stakes for Season 2 beautifully.
How Many Seasons of Off Campus Could There Be?
Elle Kennedy has written roughly a dozen books within the Off-Campus and Briar University universe since 2015, giving Prime Video an enormous well of source material to draw from for seasons well beyond Season 2 — potentially including Kennedy's Campus Diaries spin-off series if the main show continues to perform.
Prime Video is clearly building a permanent YA romance pipeline to replicate the massive success of The Summer I Turned Pretty. With Season 2 already locked in and the casting infrastructure active well before Season 1 even aired, the Off Campus universe is not going anywhere. All eight episodes of Off Campus Season 1 are streaming now on Prime Video.
