outfielder and his wife, Esther, have welcomed a baby boy, and the family announced the arrival with a post on Instagram. Esther said the child is named , a nod that gives the Braves center fielder a rare three-generation line in one family.

In her caption, Esther wrote that the couple was thankful God chose them to be the baby’s parents. She called the newborn the most perfect addition to their life, said their hearts were full in a way they had never known before, and added that he is loved, prayed for and deeply cherished. She also wrote that he is everything they dreamed of.

Esther later posted a video showing a special gift the Braves sent to the family. The basket was packed with baby items and team gear, including a tiny Braves jersey with “Harris II” on the name plate, a stuffed Blooper doll, cookies, body wash, a miniature foam tomahawk and Braves-branded onesies.

The birth came while Harris was in the middle of a busy spring schedule, and he missed a brief stretch on paternity leave before returning to the club. Once back, he resumed his role in the outfield and continued to be a key part of the defense while lining up near the top of the batting order in game after game.

Harris, now in his fifth season with Atlanta, has also kept producing at the plate. He delivered four hits in four at-bat opportunities against the Dodgers on , then added another hit and an RBI the following day. For the season, he has 43 hits, 16 runs, 23 RBIs and seven home runs.

For Harris, the timing has turned a personal milestone into part of a demanding baseball stretch, with family news arriving just as Atlanta keeps moving through its spring slate. The baby’s arrival adds a new name to the household, while the veteran outfielder’s regular spot in the lineup shows the Braves still need him doing what he has done all season: playing every day, hitting near the top and covering ground in center field.
