’s return in has moved a step closer after filming on the second season officially wrapped in March 2026, even though has still not set a release date. has already said the series will come out in 2026, and a network spot narrated by has also pointed viewers toward that timeline.

That gives the crime drama a clearer path to air after a fast rise in profile. MobLand was renewed by Paramount+ in June 2025, only months after its first season posted a 76% fresh rating and drew a strong audience response. Hardy played Harry, a loyal operative for Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, in a story set in the world of British organized crime and centered on a war between crime families.

Ritchie has been unusually direct about the show’s place in his schedule. In an interview with Tatiana Hullender for In the Grey, he said, “Well, we finished our bit, so we’re wrapping up that whole series now,” then added that MobLand would be out before the end of the year. He also said, “I think we’ve got a few things. We’ve got MobLand before the end of the year, and we’ve got The Gentlemen before the end of the year.”

The next clues came from the set itself. First-look photos published in December 2025 showed and Mirren in costume working with Ritchie. A leaked set photo in February showed Hardy filming along the River Thames with , suggesting the production was well underway before wrapping in March 2026. The plot for season 2 has been kept under wraps.

Hardy was already thinking beyond the first season in April 2025, when he said, “The plan is definitely to see more seasons,” and asked, “Does it become international?” He also sketched the wider terrain the show could explore, saying there are families in each European country vying for power over the movement of commodities, and asking who polices that and how it fits into a world stage.

That is the tension now around MobLand: the production is done, the cast has been spotted, and the creators are talking up a 2026 arrival, but the streamer has not locked a date and has not said how far the story will go. For Hardy, the open question is no longer whether MobLand comes back. It is how much bigger Ritchie is prepared to make it when it does.
