PAOK hosted AEK at Toumba Stadium on Wednesday, 13.05 at 19:30 in the club's last home game of the season, a meeting that carried real weight in the battle for second place.
That spot matters because second place offers a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, turning a domestic league fixture into one with immediate European consequences. The gates at Toumba Stadium were scheduled to open at 17:00, giving supporters an early start before kickoff.
PAOK also laid out strict fan guidance ahead of the match. The Greek Police were to conduct security pre-checks around the stadium, while fireworks, firecrackers, smoke generators, flares and laser devices were banned. The club also prohibited throwing objects on the field and barred banners with racist, insulting, political or sexual content.
Fans were told to validate their identity on their ticket via Gov.gr Wallet. PAOK FC said the club is not involved in the process of adding the digital ticket to Gov Wallet from purchase onward, and it said the same about the transfer of season tickets. That leaves supporters responsible for making sure their own digital access is in order before they reach the gates.
The setup showed how much was riding on a single night in Thessaloniki. PAOK had the home stage, AEK had the challenge, and the table made the stakes plain: second place was the prize that could shape the rest of the season.
