OL will turn Sunday’s Lyon Vs Angers match into a full day of funk at Parc OL, with the first events starting at 3:15 p.m. and running well beyond the final whistle. The club has lined up a DJ set, dancers, a game built around the “vinyl of luck,” and more activities before the 5:15 p.m. kickoff against Angers.
The schedule is designed to pull supporters into the mood early. From 3:15 p.m. on the forecourt of Parc OL, a funk DJ set will open the festivities, with professional dancers on hand and a chance to win prizes through the vinyl game. By 3:45 p.m., the “OL Night Fever” operation moves inside the stadium, where a funk playlist will greet arriving fans, a quiz will test their knowledge of the style and a dance cam will put the stands on display.
Le Mur des Gones adds another layer, letting supporters pose for photos that will later reappear on the giant screens inside the stadium. Then, at 7:30 p.m., the funk theme picks up again with another DJ set on Place du Lion Bleu, giving fans a reason to stay in Décines after the match. The day fits into a broader plan by OL’s leadership to tie home fixtures more closely to funk culture, after the club had already unveiled its third shirt in a setting inspired by that same world.
What remains less clear is how much of this mood will carry onto the pitch. The club has built a polished matchday script around the event, but the football itself still has to deliver its own momentum. For supporters, though, the offer is simple enough: arrive early, stay late and let the matchday run from the forecourt to the square.
