Tavius Robinson will miss the rest of the season after a pectoral injury, taking the Ravens' leading sack producer out of the lineup just as they prepare for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jesse Minter announced the news after practice on Friday, turning a routine injury update into a major defensive loss.

Robinson leads the Ravens with 3.5 sacks, and his absence forces a quick rework of the pass rush at a time when the team is 4-2 and trying to hold position in a division race that does not leave much room for error. With Lamar Jackson back in uniform to start practice for the first time since his ankle injury on Oct. 4, the offense may be inching toward stability. The defense, though, has lost one of its most productive edge players at the worst possible moment.

Robinson had not practiced all week, and he was not at the start of Friday's session either, a sign that his status was moving in one direction before the announcement made it official. The injury detail matters because it is not a short-term setback that can be managed through Sunday; it ends his season and removes the one player on the roster who had already separated himself in the sack column.

The Ravens will now lean more on Mike Green, Zion Young and Ethan Burke to absorb the snaps and pressure Robinson was supplying. That is the immediate fix, but it is also the limit of it. None of that replaces what Robinson had been giving them; it only spreads the work around and asks younger pass rushers to do more against a Bengals offense that will test every weakness in the front seven.

For the Ravens, the timing is brutal. A division game was already carrying extra weight, and now one of the most tangible advantages in their defense is gone. If they can keep the pass rush functional without Robinson, they can survive this stretch. If they cannot, his absence will be felt long after Sunday.
