Gizelle Bryant feud softens as Robyn Dixon calls out Ashley Darby

Robyn Dixon came back to The Real Housewives of Potomac in Season 11 Episode 2 and made one thing plain: she was not backing Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby on the way they handled Tia Glover's marriage issues. Dixon said Bryant is still her close friend, but added that she was not with the bullsh*t at all and could not defend either woman.

That matters because Dixon is not just any cast member returning to the room. She spent two years away from the group, and she said that distance helped her feel more at peace. Her return on Bravo is now showing up as a reset, not a reunion for the old alliances that fans had come to expect.

In the episode, Dixon sat down with Wendy Osefo to try to repair their relationship, but Osefo hesitated after pointing to Dixon's history as Gizelle Bryant's ally. The concern was not abstract. Dixon had spent years being viewed as Bryant's backer, and that reputation has shadowed every new conversation she enters with the group.

This time, though, Dixon drew a sharper line than she has before. She said Bryant and Darby were wrong for bringing Tia's marital problems into the mix, adding that Tia was about to go through something and did not even know it. Dixon's point was not subtle: she was rejecting the move itself, even while keeping her friendship with Bryant intact.

That is the friction running through her return. Dixon can say she is still very, very close with Bryant, and she can also say, without blinking, that she cannot find a good defense of Ashley or Gizelle. Both things are true at once, and that is what makes this episode feel different from the versions of Dixon viewers thought they already knew.

The larger turn is that Dixon is no longer acting like she has to absorb every hit aimed at Bryant and Darby just to keep the peace. Whether that holds over the rest of Season 11 is the open question, but for now the old Green-Eyed Bandits shield looks thinner than it has in years.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo, and episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
