Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is officially arriving in November 2026, giving Matt Dinniman’s series a new tabletop home as a deck-building adventure from Renegade Game Studios. The base game will sell for about $60 and puts players in control of Carl or Princess Donut as they battle monsters, collect upgrades and try to survive the World Dungeon.

The timing matters because the release window is now fixed, and fans searching for Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 9 are also looking at a franchise that has moved far beyond novels. The game is built around the first three floors of the dungeon, can be played solo or in two-player cooperative mode, and includes both shorter Arcade sessions and a longer Campaign mode that carries upgrades forward between levels.

That split helps explain why the tabletop launch is landing with so much force. The crowdfunding campaign tied to the game line brought in more than $13.29 million from 55,972 supporters, making it the most-funded game in BackerKit history. Two expansions are also slated for November: Iron Tangle, which brings in the fourth-floor subway system from the novels along with new enemies, bosses and upgrades, and Crawler Chaos, which adds Katia, Imani and Prepotente plus options for creating a custom crawler.

The pricing tells another part of the story. The base game sits at about $60, while the expansions are priced at about $25 each, and the tabletop RPG is arriving in the same month with a $55 Starter Set and a $65 Core Rulebook. The Starter Set includes introductory rules, maps, dice and pre-generated characters, while the Core Rulebook runs for more than 300 pages and is divided among character creation, monsters, spells and equipment.

What remains unclear is not whether the series can draw a crowd, but how the tabletop versions will feel once they are in players’ hands. The core game covers only the first three floors, while Campaign mode stretches the experience by preserving upgrades across levels; the broader retail release is set for late November 2026, and preorders are already open through Renegade Game Studios.

For a series already known for monsters, violence and Princess Donut, the next step is less about proving demand than about delivering on it. November will show whether the deck-building game, the RPG and the expansions can translate the books’ chaos into something people will want to keep on the table.
