Simone Biles showed up at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday in a custom white game-day look built around Jonathan Owens' No. 38, then posted the outfit for her followers to see. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist watched the Indianapolis Colts play the Tennessee Titans and later shared snaps from the field, including a video of her and Owens kissing after the game.
The outfit was the detail that turned the visit into something more than a routine appearance. Biles wore a white, form-fitting short-sleeve shirt with Owens' jersey number on the front, matching white shorts with his last name on the back, and brown boots, a coat and bag to finish it off. In her Instagram Story, she wrote, “We did the 38 and Owens out of the football material & I'm literally obsessed 🤎.” She also tagged Kelly Daley in one of the photos and added, “I swear she never misses.”
The timing matters because Biles had said in September that she planned to stay home for road weekends this season. She told Us Weekly, “I'm going to stay at home this year so I can still work those [road] weekends,” while also saying it was exciting to watch Owens compete every week and see the energy it gave him. Sunday was not one of those quiet weekends. It was a public exception, and it came with a custom look made for the moment.
The friction is in the result on and off the field. The Tennessee Titans beat the Colts 26-20, while Biles still turned the loss into a show of support that was personal, polished and unmistakably hers. Whether she sticks to the home-game plan from here is still the open question, but on Sunday she gave a clear answer about where she wanted to be: on the sideline, in the outfit, and beside Owens.
