Riot Games has teased a new VALORANT agent in official art, and reports now point to a reveal during the VALORANT Champions Shanghai finals weekend. The character, often referred to in leaks as Hush, has not been confirmed by Riot, but the timing has already pushed the rumor into the center of the game’s biggest weekend.
That is why players are searching now. The leaked details suggest the agent may be a Duelist, with white hair, purple eyes and a background that Benkai described as Cantonese. If that is accurate, she would be the third Chinese agent after Iso and Sage, which gives the reveal more weight than a standard character drop.
The chatter has been fueled by more than the artwork. Voice lines heard at a Shanghai pop-up cafe themed around the agent are said to point to a mainland Cantonese dialect, and the leaked kit is built around a passive called Double Life. That passive reportedly changes one ability depending on whether the agent is attacking or defending, a structure that would make her kit feel unusual even by VALORANT standards.
Other leaked clues fit the same picture. Ability icons spotted at Riot's Shanghai pop-up cafe reportedly include a grenade-like item, an eight-sided die and two ghosts, while the leak also lists one version for each Earth. Taken together, the details have been treated by fans as if they are close to a final reveal, even though each part still sits in rumor territory.
That is the friction in the story. The reporting around Hush VALORANT has moved so far ahead that the leak reads like a certainty, but Riot Games has still not confirmed the agent’s name, role or abilities. For now, the only firm thing is that the company has teased a new agent and the next plausible moment for the full reveal is the recently-announced showmatch at VALORANT Champions Shanghai.
If that happens, the reveal will settle the open gaps at once: whether Hush is the official name, whether she is really a Duelist and whether the Cantonese details are true. Until then, Benkai’s comment and the Shanghai clues are the strongest signs that this is more than a passing rumor, but still not official news.
