Riot Games has teased a new VALORANT agent in official art, and reports now point to a reveal during VALORANT Champions Shanghai finals weekend. The leaks describe a character with long white hair, glowing purple eyes and a purple-and-pink palette, but Riot has not confirmed the name, role or abilities.

That is why the new Valorant Agent search is spiking now: players are trying to separate the tease from the rumor before the next big stage in Shanghai. The timing matters because the agent would arrive in front of a live crowd at VALORANT Champions Shanghai, where reveal moments tend to land harder than any social post.

The clearest detail attached to the leak came from Benkai, who posted that the agent is Cantonese. That would make her the third Chinese agent after Iso and Sage, and it lines up with voice lines reportedly heard at a Shanghai pop-up cafe themed around the character, where the dialect was described as mainland Cantonese. If the leaks are right, Riot is not just adding another Duelist to the pool — it is building a character tied closely to China and to Shanghai itself.

Even the kit chatter points to a split identity. Leaks say the passive, Double Life, would give her a different ability depending on whether she is attacking or defending, while the ultimate reportedly changes by side as well. Other reported pieces include a grenade-like item, an eight-sided die and two ghosts, along with a nearsight mist, copying ally signatures and a through-the-wall dash. In practice, that would make her a rare kind of agent: one whose value shifts with the round state instead of staying fixed from side to side.

There is still a catch. Riot has teased the agent visually, but it has not confirmed any of the leaked abilities, the Duelist role or even the name, so the conversation is still running ahead of the official reveal. Supposedly Riot will show her during the recently announced showmatch at VALORANT Champions Shanghai, which would give the leak its first real test in public. If that happens, the question will not be whether VALORANT is getting a new agent — it will be whether the version fans have pieced together from leaks is the one Riot actually meant to ship.

Her arrival would also follow Miks, the controller added in March, giving VALORANT another major addition in a short span. For now, though, the new agent remains a promise wrapped in official art, a handful of leaked voice lines and one unanswered question: how much of the rumored side-swapping kit survives the reveal intact.
