Davi Cabral walks into Dana White’s Contender Series with a perfect record and a short runway. He and Douglas da Lapa are set for DWCS Season 10, Week 10 tonight at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, with the fight opening the card at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Cabral, 7-0, has been fighting professionally since April 2024 and has already won his first seven bouts. Six of those wins came by knockout or submission, and his most recent result was a split decision over Perry Stargel in July. That kind of pace is why his name matters now: in one year, he has gone from his debut to a showcase spot on one of MMA’s most watched prospect stages.

The matchup is shaped by more than records. Cabral has two career submissions and offers the ground-fighting edge, while da Lapa comes in at 6-0, is listed as a -175 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, and owns the size numbers that often decide these fights. Da Lapa is seven inches taller at 6'3" and has a four-inch reach advantage at 75 inches to Cabral’s 71, which gives the Brazilian striker room to keep the fight at distance if he can stay upright.

Da Lapa has also made a habit of ending fights quickly. He has won five of his six bouts by knockout, scored knockouts in his previous three fights and arrives off a second-round stoppage of Emerson Richard at LFA 234 in May. Cabral’s last run in 2026 is 2-0, but the separation between a grappler with finishing ability and a bigger striker with momentum is exactly what makes this pairing more than another undefeated-versus-undefeated booking.

The unanswered question is not whether one of them has a clean record. It is whether Cabral can force da Lapa into the kind of ground exchanges that erase the size gap, or whether da Lapa keeps the fight standing long enough to make the favorite’s price look too low. By the end of the night, one perfect record will still be intact, and the other will no longer be part of the conversation.
