Johnny Kovacevic is making his season debut tonight for the New Jersey Devils when they visit the Red Wings. The change gives the Devils a new lineup note on a night built around their game in progress, with live updates, highlights and lineups all being tracked as the teams meet.
That makes Kovacevic the name to watch as the Devils game draws the most attention now, because this is not just another date on the schedule. It is his first appearance of the season, and it comes in a matchup that already has a projected Red Wings lineup in view, along with the usual pregame scratches and availability notes that shape how these live posts are read.
The setup also leaves one useful gap: Kovacevic’s first game of the season is clear, but the reason it is arriving only now is not explained here. What matters for readers tonight is the move itself, and the live page is built to show how that decision fits into the game as it unfolds between the Devils and the Red Wings.
For now, the next thing to watch is the game itself. The Devils are on the road, Kovacevic is in for his season debut, and the rest will come through the live updates as the night develops.
