iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network have announced a new weekly podcast, A Different World View with Darryl & Kadeem, hosted by Kadeem Hardison and Darryl M. Bell. The show is set to premiere on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with new episodes arriving every Thursday.

The launch gives listeners a fresh reason to return to A Different World just as the sitcom’s legacy is being revisited for a new generation. Hardison and Bell will go back through the series episode by episode, mixing behind-the-scenes stories with reflections on the show’s cultural impact, while also talking with former cast members and using each episode to branch into entertainment, pop culture, sports and other topics. The podcast will be available on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms, with video episodes on YouTube.

For Bell, the timing carries a long personal history. He said he and Hardison have wanted to make the podcast for more than 25 years, and the two are drawing on a nearly 40-year friendship as they revisit the sitcom that made their characters, Dwayne Wayne and Ron Johnson Jr., familiar to viewers. The first guest will be Debbie Allen, whose role in the project runs through both the original series and the new one: she is an executive producer on the upcoming Netflix sequel, directs its premiere episode and appears as Dr. Langhorne.

That sequel is also where the rewatch podcast gets its sharpest edge. Hardison and Bell are leaning into nostalgia, but they are doing it while helping introduce a series that will bring in new cast members and new storylines. The first episode of the podcast will begin with Season 2, Episode 2, the same episode in which Allen first appeared on the original series, a choice that ties the rewatch directly to the next chapter of the franchise.

Dollie S. Bishop said the show will introduce new audiences to the series’ legacy while giving longtime fans stories they have not heard before. That balance will decide how the podcast lands: as a memory lane project for fans of A Different World, and as a bridge to what comes next when the reboot-era conversation starts in earnest next week.
