Polymarket rolled out the referral code OREGON for Game 4 of the Brewers-Padres National League Division Series, giving new users in Oregon and Washington a $25 bonus on a $10 first deposit. The deal lifted the starting balance to $35, but only if the code was entered at registration; users who skipped that field could not get the bonus later.

The timing mattered because Oct. 7 was already a live day for Brewers and Padres markets on Polymarket US, with odds still repricing ahead of first pitch at Petco Park. The code was active for readers across the Pacific Northwest, and the pitch was simple: open an account, use OREGON, and start with more room to trade before the game even began.

That promise landed in one of the highest-volume MLB markets on the board. On Polymarket, each cent price represents an implied probability, so a side at 60¢ is priced at roughly a 60% chance to win. In Game 4, both moneylines sat within a point of even money, which is why traders had the matchup close to a coin flip even as individual boards kept shifting. The tie-through-five-innings market was priced at 17%, while Polymarket’s 2+ total bases board had Jackson Chourio at 44%, Fernando Tatis Jr. at 43%, Ty France at 38%, Jackson Merrill at 38%, Manny Machado at 37%, William Contreras at 37%, Brice Turang at 34%, Christian Yelich at 33%, Garrett Mitchell at 31% and Jake Bauers at 27%.

That split between a near-even game line and separated player prices is what makes the market readable and messy at the same time. A bullpen move or late lineup change could hit the price within seconds, because Polymarket odds update in real time as traders react to news, lineup cards and line movement. The exchange runs peer-to-peer, so prices move on supply and demand rather than a margin-adjusted sportsbook line, which helps explain why a single game can look balanced overall while still rewarding sharper reads on one hitter, one inning or one late scratch.

OREGON also joined CUSE, SILIVE, MASS and CLEVE as one of five verified codes carrying the same $25 bonus across sister publications, while Kalshi’s OREGONLIVE55 points to a different setup: $55 on a $25 deposit for $80 total, credited after $25 in trades. Novig is another sports-only prediction market exchange, but Polymarket had become the default destination for Oregon and Washington traders who wanted something other than a fixed line. For Game 4, the immediate edge was not just the matchup itself. It was the chance to enter before the price moved again.
