Witney Carson and Guillermo Rodriguez are still on Dancing With the Stars after landing in the bottom three for the third week in a row on Yacht Rock Night. Carson used a Sept. 29 TikTok video to push back on speculation that she wanted them out, and said she was very happy they were continuing on.

The timing mattered because the pair had just turned in their best result yet, scoring 15 out of 30 for a foxtrot to Escape (The Piña Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes on Sept. 29. That mix of their highest score and another trip into the bottom three is what sent viewers searching for whether Guillermo was still on the show.

Carson said she felt she needed to address the rumors and opinions circulating around their run. She explained that being in the bottom three every week does not necessarily mean a couple has the lowest votes. It only means they do not get the comfort of hearing they are safe; instead, they wait to hear who is going home.

She said those two emotions can happen at the same time. Carson said she can be sad for the people leaving and still be excited when she and Rodriguez survive. In her view, the relief does not cancel out the sympathy, and she made clear that she is very happy to keep going.

That pushback also offered a fuller picture of why she has been so vocal about Rodriguez. Carson said she is truly grateful to stay in the competition week after week with him because he deserves it, calling him genuinely kind, eager to improve and unwilling to quit. She said what viewers see on Tuesdays is his very best, and added that there is value in someone who may not have natural skill but keeps learning and putting in the work.

The broader picture is less about one rough placement than about survival under pressure. Carson is pregnant with her third baby boy, and she shares sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 3, with Carson McAllister. Even with that personal backdrop, she chose to address the chatter directly and make clear that the pair are not looking for an exit. Whether Guillermo Rodriguez can keep dodging the bottom three in the next round is the open question now.
