Trainers checked Brown’s right knee on the field before helping him to the sideline and then carting him to the locker room. The run mattered because it showed why Brown has a role beyond spot duty. He entered the game as Miami’s third-leading rusher with 62 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown in the opener against Stanford, and he had already put together 474 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2025.
