Danone USA is voluntarily recalling pints of So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Frozen Dessert after customers complained that some may contain small stones and other hard objects inside the cashew inclusions. The company said the affected pints were distributed to retailers nationwide and that it is pulling them from shelves now.
The recall is drawing attention today because shoppers are being told to check frozen dessert pints with UPC 744473476138 and best-by dates on and before April 3, 2028, then throw them away if they match. Danone USA notified the Food and Drug Administration and said customers can request a refund or a coupon replacement through the So Delicious Dairy Free Consumer Care Line at 1-833-367-8975, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
Danone USA said the recall is limited to this one product and that no other So Delicious Dairy Free codes, flavors or products are affected. That matters because the brand is still telling shoppers to discard the pints even after saying the issue has been identified and corrected, a sign the company is treating the contamination risk as serious enough to keep the product off shelves.
The recall applies only to So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Frozen Dessert pints that match the listed UPC and best-by dates. Other So Delicious frozen desserts and products are not impacted, and Danone USA said it is working with stores to remove the recalled product while customers who bought it can seek a refund or replacement.
