The event mattered because the first half of the season had already produced 24 contracts before the card even started, which meant every clean finish carried more weight than usual.
Cavalcanti gave the night its first hard statement by stopping Oscar Ravello in the first round of their 185-pound matchup after 98 seconds. The win lifted Cavalcanti to his 14th career victory and showed enough urgency to keep him in the conversation among the week’s biggest performers. Abdullaev then made the simplest case possible. He entered unbeaten at 13-0, with 13 finishes already on his record and 10 of them coming in the first round, and he needed only 19 seconds to add another.
Hernandez’s finish was the most competitive of the three. Hugo Guillon appeared to be taking over late in the first round, but Hernandez came back to regain control before submitting him in the second. That swing mattered because it separated a fighter who could survive momentum changes from one who could still close when the fight got difficult.
