Chargers Vs Cardinals: Tuli Tuipulotu the lone question for Week 1

The Chargers released their Week 1 game statuses on the eve of Chargers vs Cardinals, and Tuli Tuipulotu was the only player listed as questionable. The edge rusher, working through a hip issue, was limited for the third straight practice before landing on the status report for Sunday.

That matters because the rest of the group previously on the injury report is good to go, leaving one late decision attached to a game that kicks off Sunday at 1:25 p.m. (PT) at SoFi Stadium. The Chargers also enter the matchup as Week 1 favorites in the betting line, which makes their health report even more relevant for a game they are expected to control.

Deane Leonard, who did not practice all week because of an abdomen issue, has already been ruled out. Brenen Thompson, Keaton Mitchell, RJ Mickens and Khalil Mack are all clear for Sunday, so the list of absences is short and the uncertainty is concentrated in one name.

That leaves Tuipulotu as the one player whose status can still change the feel of the Chargers' opener. If he is active, the Chargers go into Week 1 with nearly everyone available. If he is not, the injury report still points to a roster that is otherwise in strong shape when the Cardinals arrive at SoFi Stadium.
