Nintendo of America has announced the Customer Appreciation Sale, a two-week promotion that begins September 12 and runs through September 26. The sale cuts 30% off dozens of Nintendo Switch digital games and bundles, while also extending savings to select physical games, downloadable content, accessories, amiibo and apparel.
That makes the Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale one of Nintendo of America’s largest promotions ever, and it arrives across Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Store and participating retail locations. Buyers will not see the exact same offers everywhere, though, because available products and discounts may vary by retailer and sales channel.
Nintendo framed the move as a thank-you to players for their continued support, but it also said the promotion was made possible in part by tariff-related refunds. The company said it absorbed most tariff-related costs, then used the refunds to help make promotions like this possible. In other words, this is both a customer gesture and a reminder that pricing decisions are still being shaped by costs Nintendo has already shouldered.
For shoppers, the immediate question is less about the label on the sale and more about what is actually discounted in each place. Nintendo has said the lineup spans digital games, bundles and a wider mix of physical items, but the final value for any buyer will depend on where the purchase is made. The sale begins September 12, and the clearest next marker is whether the discounts live up to the scale Nintendo is promising before the promotion ends on September 26.
