Aryna Sabalenka said she and Georgios Frangulis are aiming to marry in September 2027, putting a long-term personal plan in the middle of her run at the US Open. The timing was striking because it came while she was still chasing another title in New York.

That is the search interest now: Sabalenka is in the semifinals after beating Linda Noskova 7-6 3-6 7-6, and she will next face Jessica Pegula. It was her sixth consecutive semifinal at Flushing Meadows, another reminder that the World No. 1 race and her private life are moving in parallel.

Sabalenka and Frangulis have been public about how the relationship developed. He is the CEO of Oakberry, and the two first met when she became an ambassador for the company in the fall of 2023. He proposed on March 3 with a massive engagement ring, and by March 2024 he told Vogue they were somewhere in between business colleagues and romantic partners.

The future timeline goes beyond the wedding. Sabalenka told TIME that she wants to start a family once she is 32 years old and said, “That’s what ideally I want,” about having kids with Frangulis in four years. She also made clear she wants the noise around her to stay outside the court, saying what she learned from Australia was that shutting out distractions matters as long as she is ready to fight.

That matters because Frangulis is not just a ringside presence. Anton Dubrov told TIME that he was supportive and helpful for the team, and said Frangulis kept asking whether he should be at practice or at the matches and what would be best for her. That cuts against the criticism he gets for always being at her matches and supposedly ignoring his business, even as he takes meetings and travels for work between matches.

Sabalenka has also carried that balance into her tennis. She held the World No. 1 ranking for 99 consecutive weeks before losing it to Elena Rybakina, and now she is trying to turn another deep US Open run into a third straight title. The next checkpoint is Pegula, but the longer answer to the question around Sabalenka Husband is already set: the couple is looking at September 2027, with family plans to follow after that.
