Aryna Sabalenka said she and Georgios Frangulis are aiming to marry in September 2027, putting a long-term personal plan in the middle of her run at the US Open. The timing was striking because it came while she was still chasing another title in New York.
That is the search interest now: Sabalenka is in the semifinals after beating Linda Noskova 7-6 3-6 7-6, and she will next face Jessica Pegula. It was her sixth consecutive semifinal at Flushing Meadows, another reminder that the World No. 1 race and her private life are moving in parallel.
Sabalenka and Frangulis have been public about how the relationship developed. He is the CEO of Oakberry, and the two first met when she became an ambassador for the company in the fall of 2023. He proposed on March 3 with a massive engagement ring, and by March 2024 he told Vogue they were somewhere in between business colleagues and romantic partners.
The future timeline goes beyond the wedding. Sabalenka told TIME that she wants to start a family once she is 32 years old and said, “That’s what ideally I want,” about having kids with Frangulis in four years.
