The Tigers did it with a fast, varied attack, while GlenOak stayed within reach at stretches even as the score kept moving away from it.

Massillon had already built its edge on big plays and short fields, and it pushed the lead to 31-7 after Matteo Herrera kicked a 25-yard field goal before Savior Owens scored on a short touchdown run to make it 37-7. Massillon then went up 44-7 after a quick touchdown that followed GlenOak going for it on fourth down.
Gary Yeager’s 86-yard run late in the first half was the play that made the scoreboard look even more tilted, and it also showed how Massillon was spreading the workload. Owens handled the finish on one drive, Yeager supplied the burst on another, and George Rivera recovered a fumble on a kick return to set Massillon up at the GlenOak 12.
