Robert Patrick marked the moment with a caption that nodded to Skynet and called them the “T2 family back together.” For fans who first met Furlong as John Connor in the 1991 sequel, the image has a sharp pull: it brings together four names tied to one of the franchise’s most durable chapters, and it does so in the middle of a convention appearance rather than a studio-planned anniversary rollout.
That is part of what makes the photo travel. Furlong was 13 when he starred in the film, and the role quickly turned him into one of the most recognisable young actors of the early 1990s.
