Sanders and Watson combined for 110 passing yards and a 1:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, with Sanders throwing the lone touchdown pass and Watson finishing five of 12 for 36 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Gabriel's lone series did not add a completion, but it did add one more data point before Thursday's preseason finale against the Patriots.
Gabriel appears to be a distant third on the depth chart, which makes his role in the finale look odd at first glance. The Browns are still sorting out who fits where, and the decision criteria now seem to be less about one headline number than about how each quarterback performs across the whole preseason picture. On that score, Sanders has the cleaner box line, Watson has the larger sample, and Gabriel has the smallest one by far.
The wrinkle is that Gabriel will start Thursday even though he has been the least-used of the three. That means the Browns are still treating the last exhibition game as a real evaluation, not a formality. Sanders will learn Monday whether he or Watson will start, so the next answer arrives before Gabriel takes his turn. By the time Thursday ends, the Browns should have one clearer quarterback order, even if the biggest decision is still the one waiting on Monday.
